A left handed client attended clinic because they’d been experiencing some pain in their right shoulder area.
I asked if anything in their normal routine had changed. Nothing much, but they’d been playing more ice hockey than usual. 🏒
We looked at the drills they’d been doing. It turned out the manager had moved the team around, and so they were now in a forward position, and had been shooting more than usual.
With the glory comes the pain if your body isn’t able to cope with the sudden increase in specific activity.
After some testing we found their acromioclavicular and glenohumeral ligaments were dysfunctional, because their shoulder joint had started / wanted to decompress! 😳
We did some work on the ligaments, a little muscle work and bingo, everything was working again with no pain. 👍
There’s a significant amount of homework to do, and the league match could be a testing time this Sunday, but they’re on the right track, and able to take control of their own recovery now. 🧠💪
Experience the difference – A refreshingly different approach to pain and dysfunction, so you can breathe better, move better, to live better.
