It’s whiplash season

Yep, thatโ€™s right itโ€™s whiplash season ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Late summer / early autumn (and spring time) when the sun is low in the sky as people are driving to and from work is prime time for a whiplash incident.
Obviously if this happens to you, there are all sorts of cervical (neck) and extraocular compensations that are likely to creep in, which I would strongly urge you to resolve as quickly as possible, and we can help you with this in clinic (and apparently can be successfully included as part of you settlement agreement if you get a statement of treatment from us as well) ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป This however, is a post more about prevention ๐Ÿคฉ

As a general rule, if you need to do anything which affects your vision, your lights should be on ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

What do I mean by this (in case itโ€™s been a while since you had driving lessons ๐Ÿ˜‰)
Well, if you need to – clean the windscreen inside or out because itโ€™s grubby, if you need to put the wipers on because itโ€™s raining, if you need to put your sunglasses on, or put the visor down to shade your eyes etc your lights should be on ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
The majority of your lights on your car arenโ€™t for you to see, ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿปtheyโ€™re there for others to see you๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿป, and if it means itโ€™s potentially the difference between having someone up your rear, or them keeping a safe distance, surely itโ€™s worth it.

Bonus: Cyclists – Daytime running lights are a must. Please. Whilst visibility might be good for us when weโ€™re on the bike, low sun, dappled shady spots on the road where we become virtually invisible and grubby windscreens mean weโ€™re at risk without that extra visibility too โค๏ธ๐Ÿšตโ€โ™€๏ธ

Have a great, whiplash free, day ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Š

Experience the difference โ€“ A refreshingly different approach to pain and dysfunction, so you can breathe better, move better, to live better.
