Very exciting week this week – signed off a client who presented with 20 years of back pain, visibly obvious forward lean with trunk rotation as well (noticeable to the man on the street).
Been seeing osteo’s etcetera for that 20 year period – signed them off after 3 months work.
4 active treatment sessions, 1 discovery session exploring what was going on and whether I could help, and a final sign off session. 6 sessions total, only 4 actively treating, and a religious adhesion to the homework resolved all their issues.
The key was
1. them being open,
2. getting to the root of the issues, not just looking at the presenting symptoms, and
3. willing to get uncomfortable in order to move forwards.
The bonus they also now know how to evaluate their own body and have a bank of tools to use if (unlikely) there’s any kind of recurrence 👍
