Activity through your pregnancy

New guidance on activity levels for pregnant women. It’s based on a literature review, and encompasses a number of recommendations for women by subgroup etc, and includes the strength of recommendation, and the quality of evidence to back up the recommendations.
What this means is, where there is low quality evidence etc, the recommendation is weak.

There are two issues from this report from my perspective:
Firstly, it doesn’t cover effective optimised breathing and how that can be very helpful in both the pregnancy and the birthing process.
Secondly, and as a sub category of this, it doesn’t dive into the pelvic floor / kegal evidence far enough.

I’m hoping to cover this last one in a post for you soon 🤞 as it just isn’t covered enough in the information which is available.
