The learning curve when coming from mainstream healthcare

I was having a conversation with my brother the other day, also a trained body worker, but it occurred to me it could be quite intimidating coming to see me in clinic if you aren’t used to my way of working.

Ignoring the slightly ‘out there’ work I do with polarity, tuning forks, and even the Scenar / PhysioKey for a second, the vast majority of people aren’t used to how NKT (NeuroKinetic Therapy) works (one of the principle methods used in clinic), how the body links things together, how it prioritises things, or how movement might be what they need even though it feels like they should be protecting an area / resting – you’ve got to love those pendulums!

I always explain what’s going on in clinic, especially with a new client where the learning curve is steepest.
But connecting your shoulder pain to the hip, or ankle, connecting your neck pain to an eye issue, or your restricted range of motion to a breathing dysfunction can seem alien even to those that have been through the physio / medical system.
That’s also normally the reason they end up at my door though 👨🏻‍🎓

If you’d like to discuss how we could help you, or you would like more information, don’t hesitate to get in contact.
