A client I’ve seen for a while was telling me about the painful lump in their armpit. It provides low level discomfort and they only really told me as we had some time at the end of the session. For seventeen years they’ve had this, doctors and physios have poked and prodded, exercises have been assigned, meds prescribed, and nothing helped. It’s been there so long it’s actually changed the shape of their armpit.
We did some testing, and proceeded with some lymphatic work across the chest and up into the axilla. They were a little concerned as it had always trigger a lot of pain when others had worked in the region, but after feeling how gentle the work was, we were able to proceed.
After about twenty minutes or so, the arm was moving freely, no pain on movement or palpation, and a lot of the visual fascial tension had eased as well.
Needless to say they were very happy, and possibly a little frustrated they hadn’t said something sooner 🤷♂️
