A shoeless world

For those that have heard me get on my shoe box about shoes … This may well be of interest to you too.

For those that haven’t, I’m a big fan of a shoeless environment. I work shoeless (which freaks some people out 🤷🏻‍♂️), at home I’m shoeless, and often when I’m out, I’ll kick my shoes off as well.

When we wear shoes, they limit the natural movement of our feet, and all that glorious propeioception that’s available through them. When we do need to wear shoes, I like a wide toe box so my toes can splay naturally, zero lift heel to toe, and as thin a sole as is practicable.

It turns out that somehow being shoeless also has a positive effect on our congnitive abilities too.
Fascinating 👍🏻
