Bunions, a foot problem?

Some days you literally pull on everything you’ve ever learnt.
A client presented with tightness around the ankles and the front of the lower legs.
It felt like they ‘had support stockings on the whole time’.
We investigated and found some systemic issues linking back to the bunion on the left foot.

Treating the ‘bunion’ was mulitfactoral. There were neurological relationships on both legs, and fascial restrictions had occurred around the ankle retinaculum.
We used NKT to resolve the neurological relationships. ACFR techniques to release some of the restrictions in and around the retinaculum, and finally a blend of techniques from ID and The ScoliMethod to help correct the bunion on the left foot. The PhysioKey was also used to calm the area (the pads visible in the photos).
Once the treatment was completed, the systemic issues resolved, the feeling of tightness lessened and walking was significantly more comfortable. They also had a conversation starter for the party they were going to that evening!

Bunions don’t have to be operated on to be corrected, especially in the early days. More often than not they are a symptom of something else going on higher up the chain. Test, don’t guess, and definitely don’t cut unless absolutely necessary!

Images have been corrected for foot position using the outer edge for true comparison of correction (blue line). Black line indicating great toe angle.
The start of a beautiful journey, and they’re encouraged by the results 😊👍🏻
