Ice hockey puck impact

Spent the evening watching my first ice hockey match. It’s really quite exciting: high paced, tactical, they even get their handbags out every now and again!

I went to see one of my clients play. They came to clinic the other day having taken a puck, full pelt, to the manubrium (top of the sternum, at the base of the throat). Whilst this wasn’t giving them any issues of note, their primary complaint was bilateral shoulder issues, I had a hunch a few things might be suffering. Sure enough, no intrinsic core stability and less than optimal breathing patterns.
NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) and #ScoliVision were used to assess and treat the breathing dysfunctions, after which the core was working again 😊 the shoulders were also much better, one further correction and they were sorted too 👍🏻

Being an athlete who’s required to perform high intensity efforts, with immediate changes of direction, and rotations, all whilst having to coordinate all your limbs at the same time, it’s important to make sure your core and breathing are optimised.

They’ve been doing their homework, because they were firing on all cylinders tonight

Experience the difference – A refreshingly different approach to pain and dysfunction, so you can breathe better, move better, to live better.
