I’m not going to lie, truly amazing things can happen in clinic, but what you do outside of clinic has as much to do with your longer term rehabilitation.
Never has this been more obvious than with the increasingly prevalent – LONG COVID.
The definition of long Covid has changed as the pandemic has developed, it is currently defined as any symptoms related to coronavirus lasting over 12 weeks. The range of symptoms is vast: fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain or tightness, brain fog, insomnia, heart palpitations, dizziness, pins and needles, joint pain, depression and anxiety, tinnitus, earaches, feeling sick, diarrhoea, stomach aches, loss of appetite, a high temperature, cough, headaches, sore throat, changes to sense of smell or taste, rashes.
Your healthcare provider is obviously your first port of call. In clinic however, we can assist with some of these symptoms to good effect.
The long term strategy for rehabilitation, and what you do outside of the clinic is just as important. Rest, sleep, pacing in activities and exercise in addition to addressing your environmental factors such as high quality nutrition, hydration state and managing your work load are key.
Experience the difference – A refreshingly different approach to pain and dysfunction, so you can breathe better, move better, to live better.
