Nipples don’t come up too often in clinic, but they occasionally do. Current or previous piercings, tattoos, or scarring from a multitude of surgical procedures are some the normal “physical” issues, but there can be other types of trauma, as well as for example lymphatic or neurolymphatic issues to address.
Whether male or female all treatments take into account comfort, safety, and permission (this actually goes for all elements of a treatment, not just those in sensitive areas).
Today’s case involved a nasty steam burn (new steam cleaner, went off and scolded through clothing) to the nipple and breast. There was one area which has scabbed over which seems to have taken the worst of it, but the burn mark is several centimetres in all directions.
There was a fair amount of neuro work to do to this scar and it’s muscular associations, but also some neurolymphatic and limbic work.
My clients rock
