Radiation burns

Radiation burn scarring is an increasing occurrence in clinic. Whilst it’s not great news people are suffering these burns from radiotherapy, it is wonderful people are surviving, and seeking treatment to get their lives back on track.
One of the more recent scars worked on was on a leg.
Approximately 30cm by 10cm, over the top of a double incision scar, and post nerve conduction testing which stated “all the nerves were dead”.
It was interesting therefore that we were able to affect change in the tone and neurological control of the muscles around and distal to the scar, in addition to improving the feel of the scarring itself by reducing the tightness.
There are often many ways to easy symptoms and help regain function in areas affected by cancer treatment ❤️
