Transverse abdominus

I’m probably a bit OCD when it comes to testing the intrinsic core.
Wherever a large muscle exists, or one that does a super important job it often has different sensory nerves innervating it, and this allows us more points of access into the motor control system, helping us understand and unravel what’s going on with your aches and pains.

There are 10 separate and distinct points of access I use for the transverse abdominus (TVA) – yep it’s that important!
The TVA is crucial in breathing dynamics and the development and maintenance of intra abdominal pressure, which protects your lower back, and allows for force transfer from the core to the limbs.

So sorry, not sorry, I’m going to keep checking that core thoroughly, because it’s that important to everything you do. It’s also beautiful ❤️
