Where is your neck pain coming from?

Client presents with a pain in the neck, very restricted range of motion in all directions, affecting them doing pretty much everything.
Where do we look to resolve this?

The neck? It’s a reasonable place to start.
But what else has been going on? No trauma, no bangs, knocks or injuries. No eye issues. No coughs, colds or other nasties. Breathing system’s also fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

How about the thoracic spine > bingo! Sometimes a pain in the neck can be because it’s working so hard because another area of the spine isn’t working so well – in this case the area around C7.
Some simple Polarity work and spinal mobilisations linked to the breath and all is resolved. Knowing where to look, when and how to treat, are crucial in resolving the clients issues.
Being able to advise prevention strategies and provide tools to use at home to minimise the likelihood of it happening again are essential.
The key is providing clients with a means of self rehab so they aren’t reliant on others to keep them going 😊👍🏻
